Scale affects relationships. By taking an everyday object out of context there is an opportunity to form a new relationship with it and appreciate its forms with new eyes. This was my favorite toothbrush, used everyday. I created a mathematically exact 8.5' scale replica of its original plastic form with pine, bamboo, and acrylic paint. Its new larger, memorialized presence helps me appreciate its simple design.
